When you’re stuck in traffic and facing construction delays, Isaiah promises that God is already at work preparing a way to lead you home.

In the summer of 1919, a young U.S. Army lieutenant named Dwight D. Eisenhower joined a military convoy that set out to cross the United States by road. The mission was straightforward: demonstrate that military vehicles could move efficiently across the country if needed. On paper, it sounded like a routine logistical exercise.

In reality, it became an ordeal.

The convoy left Washington, D.C., heading west toward San Francisco. What planners imagined as a manageable journey quickly turned into a slow-motion struggle against the landscape itself. Many of the so-called “roads” were little more than muddy tracks carved into open ground. Vehicles became stuck in deep ruts. Bridges collapsed under heavy loads. In some places, soldiers had to build temporary crossings before continuing. Tires failed and engines overheated. Dust choked the air in dry regions, while rain turned everything into thick, clinging mud.

The trip covered roughly 3,200 miles, and it took 62 days...
