The prophet Joel says that the Day of the Lord is coming. It's a bold prediction. But then, bold predictions have a way of not coming to pass -- such as gadget guru David Pogue's wacky prognostication, for example, reported in the The New York Times in 2006. He wrote: "Everyone's always asking me when Apple will come out with a cell phone. My answer is, 'Probably never.' " Shortly thereafter, Steve Jobs made an announcement, and you know the rest of the story. So, what do we do with Joel's bold declaration?
