Once a year, a gallery in Los Angeles puts on its annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design exhibition. Looking at the work of movie costume and wardrobe people for some reason reminds us of the apostle Paul and this text. 

The 85th Academy Awards nominations will be announced in just another two weeks, give or take, on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, to be precise. The OscarCast itself will occur on Sunday, February 24, less than two months away -- as of this writing, at least, that's the date. Things could change. There has been some talk of moving it up. The Oscars ceremony will be held in what was once the Kodak Theatre, but which they are now calling the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, and ABC will televise it live to more than 225 countries.

The Oscars for Costume Design and Makeup are not biggies to the general public, but of course they are huge for the people involved. Last February, the winner for Costume Design was Mark Bridges for The Artist (which took Best Picture), and it was his first Academy Award win. The winner for Makeup was The Iron Lady.
