Studies are now emerging that debunk some previously held beliefs about the human brain. We reference a couple of them (see Sources). One such mistaken belief is that we only use 10 percent of our brains and that the rest of our noggin is like an uncharted cranial wasteland. Not true. From here, it's an easy leap to the epistle lesson on the need for divine wisdom and on its role in correcting the mistakes we make by relying too much on human wisdom.

Have you heard that business about how we use only 10 percent of our brains at any given time?
