Guardian of the Galaxy

It's a popular movie franchise, and on Trinity Sunday, a great way to talk about the true Guardian of the galaxy.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a burgeoning movie franchise that first hit the screen in 2014. Vol. 2 appeared almost precisely a year ago (May 5), and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is scheduled for release in 2020. In these films, a team with quasi, semi-impressive superpowers comes together to be guardians of the galaxy. (For more on the movies including the characters, see Animating Illustrations below.)

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the guardians travel throughout the cosmos as they help team leader Quill learn more about his mysterious parentage. The movie grossed more than $863 million worldwide, making it the sixth highest-grossing film of 2017, while also out-grossing its predecessor which had made more than $773 million.
