If you've traveled in Europe and Southeast Asia, chances are you've found some high-tech toilets with blinking lights and push buttons that activate a variety of functions. Some toilets even have remote controls. The seat goes up and down at the touch of a button. Flush and rinse functions are available with the push of a button. These toilets are not just luxury items. Even the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is involved in toilets. They sponsored a challenge to build a better toilet, one that would ease sanitation issues in parts of the Third World. We're talking about toilets today, only because, in our text, Jesus himself talks about toilets.
