Kids today can use Snapchat, Yik-Yak, Secret or Wut to send messages that self-destruct or are anonymous.

Easter Sunday is an odd time to bring up Christmas. On Christmas Day, if production proceeds as planned, the fifth installment of the action movie series Mission: Impossible will open in theaters across the country. The M:I franchise began in 1996. M:I-2 followed in 2000, M:I-3 in 2006, M:I-Ghost Protocol in 2011. And M:I-5 will open on Christmas. All of the movies feature Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt.

You may not know this, but these movies are based on the eponymous television show that ran from 1966-1973, and a different version (still with Peter Graves in the role of Jim Phelps) from 1988-1990. Each episode started the same way. The leader of this team of exceptional spies would receive a top-secret, self-destructing message about their next mission. It went something like this: “Your mission Jim, should you choose/decide to accept it [details are given here]. As always, should you or any of your I.M. Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your...
